Description
The Release Train Engineer coordinates an agile development team, ensures all activities use the principles of the Scrum Framework. Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Release Train Engineer coordinates the ART and multiple Scrum teams to deliver within our Interoperability capabilities organization.
* Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanbans and other information
* Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs) Facilitate PI Planning which drives the Vision, Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
* Facilitate the PI planning event
* Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE)
* Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities (see Metrics)
* Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync at the Essential Level and the Solution Train sync for Solution Trains
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of project leadership experience
Excellent communication skills, leadership competencies, and high level of emotional intelligence
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or good familiarity with the Agile methodologies
Experience in working in multi-team environment
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Technical documentation abilities
Bachelor's degree
Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe development methodology
Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools
Scrum Master or other Agile certification
Previous experience planning and managing large projects
Prior experience in the health solutions industry
Working experience with IT teams
