Chevron is accepting online applications for a Litigation Legal Analyst position located in Houston, TX through April 8th, 2021.

The individual must perform delegated paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys, including:

* Manage discovery for a varied and complex litigation docket, including product liability, employment, personal injury, commercial, and other disputes.

* Contribute to the effective and efficient resolution of litigation matters consistent with case strategy.

* Work closely with Chevron business partners, Corporate Leads, Legal Analysts, eDiscovery Specialists, and outside counsel to deliver successful case results.

* Support the team in managing preservation, data collection, and production.

* Conduct factual and legal research, including witness interviews.

* Ensure appropriate and best use of tools and processes.

* Manage outside counsel access to internal clients and make witness recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.

* Demonstrated success working on complex, multi-jurisdiction litigation matters in federal and state courts, including experience with preservation, discovery, and other procedural requirements in federal and state court.

* Demonstrated practical understanding of privilege and work-product protection, evidence collection and handling, investigation, and expert witness management.

* Successful proven ability to organize and manage many different workstreams, collaborate with outside counsel and internal team(s), set, and maintain calendars, schedules, and agendas, and keep communications clear and timely.

* Proven ability to use eDiscovery tools and databases to review documents in response to Discovery requests.

* Ability to exercise good judgment.

* Ability to work in a team environment and partner with management, business clients, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and staff.

* Ability to exhibit confidence and a level-headed approach.

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Ability to analyze, issue spot, and provide solutions.

* Strong communications skills (both oral and written), including the ability to effectively analyze and communicate across broad functional and organizational lines.

* Strong organizational skills, including good time management.

* Ability to work independently and proactively.

* Ability to maintain high quality performance with varied deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or an advanced degree.
