QA Inspector
Classification: Non-exempt
Reports to: Quality Manager
Functional Scope: Responsible for performing visual inspection using high/low power microscope for pressure sensors devices.
Position Specifications: High school diploma or GED. Preferred 1-2 years of experience in QA inspection. Demonstrated oral/written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
Preferred experiences with ISO9001 certified manufacturing, IPC type certification in solder joint inspection, Semiconductor assembly packaging and testing, Internal auditing.

Ability to use high/low power microscope for extended periods of time.
Ability to interpret pass/fail criteria per specifications.
Able to read and understand run cards, control charts and limit sample specifications.
Ability to follow written/verbal instructions that pertain to product quality and workflow.
Able to work quickly and efficiently.
Ability to handle very delicate parts without causing handling damage.
Must have high school diploma.
Receive and perform trainings related to inspections and manufacturing processes.
Microscope based visual inspections.
Verification of acceptable solder joint formation.
Inspect finished products.
Inspect materials received from suppliers.
Inspect materials throughout assembly and test production processes.
Issue, maintain, and complete material/process nonconformity reports.
Collect electrical functional data, conduct analysis and generate reports for product returns.
Understanding of and compliance with ESD safe processes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
Working knowledge of pdf editing software including Adobe Acrobat.
Conduct process audits in various manufacturing and office admin areas.
Communicate with engineering, quality and production staff to establish manufacturing processes.
Communicate with suppliers regarding quality findings and expectations.
Participate in documentation and processes related to corrective action processes.
Assist quality personnel with document update and document control processes.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for periods of time working on a computer. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No travel is expected for this position.
