In this role, you will support and serve as a subject matter expert in Third Party Risk. You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The U.S. Internal Controls Third Party Risk team is responsible for the execution of the US Third Party Risk Framework. As the first line of defense for Third Party Risk in the United States, this role supports the Director- Head of US Third Party Risk to provide oversight of third party services as well as developing the methodologies, processes, and tools to support the U.S. Third Party Risk Program and satisfy supervisory and management expectations.
Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:
* Championing a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank
* relationships, systems and knowledge.
* Partnering with business units, operations, technology, risk management and other stakeholders to understand the business environment, evolving business priorities, and obtain key data and information
* Maintaining an ongoing business relationship with third party vendors
* Providing timely and high quality responses to inquiries from regulators, internal audit and senior management
* Acting as a key leader in providing effective oversight and governance of our third-party relationships and all aspects of the vendor & service management lifecycle:
* Third party service due diligence & risk assessments
* Reviewing contracts/agreements
* Ongoing performance monitoring
* Incident and issues management, including reporting
* Onboarding, off boarding and Contract Renewal support for third-party vendors
* Coordinate and develop quality assurance and effective oversight processes and execute said processes on an ongoing basis
* Working knowledge of assessment groups and associated processes to aid in service reviews
* Develop training materials and provide training and education to business line and support function stakeholders
* Create and continuously improve various standards governing the framework (e.g., Third party incident monitoring templates, SLA monitoring guidelines)
* Partner with Third Party stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Operations, Technology, etc.) stakeholders to gain buy-in for various initiatives
* Provide guidance to and work with the first line of defense in translating third party management requirements into practical considerations
* Aid in the facilitation of the third party risk assessment process
* Review existing and evolving regulations and craft implementation to enhance the framework accordingly
* Leading multiple projects with multiple vendors and other projects and duties that may be assigned
* Maintaining a high level of awareness of related changes and developments in Third Party Risk through the review of publications, seminars, employee training, etc., and develop and enhance policies, procedures and internal controls
* Understanding how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
* Actively pursuing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations
* Developing and motivating their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the tea
