Northrop Grumman is looking for two Section Managers (SM) for the Radio Frequency (RF) and Mixed Signal Products Department in the RF, Antenna and Product Design Center at our Manhattan Beach, CA location. The RF and Mixed Signal Department (RFMS) is an organization of 170 plus engineers and technicians that develops RF and Mixed Signal electronics/subsystems, RF processors, MMIC components, passive RF components, custom IC and A/D designs, and CMOS SoC for a variety of space and air programs. The Section Managers will each lead a group of approximately 15 engineers whose responsibilities include design and development of RF/Microwave MMICs, RF/Microwave filters and passive components, custom mixed signal ICs and A/Ds, and RF modules/units.

In this role, the selected candidate will beexpected to:

* Provide leadership and direction to section members, ensuring members have sufficient statement of work
* Manage employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers)
* Provide employees with career development and mentoring
* Coordinate with programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions are developed and executed relative to their section, and ensuring their employees are familiar with and use required engineering processes and tools
* Act as the first point of contact for technical issues on programs involving section members and will make decisions regarding required escalation and resources required for resolution
* Provide senior electrical engineering oversight of conceptual design, preliminary, and detail design, design review presentations, and support to fabrication.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

* Specific knowledge related to RF and/or Mixed Signal component and unit design, analysis techniques and tools, and test/verification
* Good technical writing skills, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an accredited institution
* 5 years rsquo; experience developing RF/ Mixed Signal electronics: RF/Microwave MMICs, RF/Microwave Filters amp; Passive Components, Mixed Signal Custom ICs and A/Ds, and/or RF/ Mixed Signal module/unit design, production, integration and testing (graduate research counts towards career experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

* A Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an accredited institution
* 8 ndash; 10 years rsquo; experience developing RF/ Mixed Signal electronics: RF/Microwave MMICs, RF/Microwave Filters amp; Passive Components, Mixed Signal Custom ICs and A/Ds, and/or RF/ Mixed Signal module/unit design, production, integration and testing.
* Familiarity with NGAS technical amp; administrative processes and procedures is highly desired
* Experience supporting proposal activities
* EVMS experience
* 3 years of project management and engineering development experience
* The ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance
