As a Lead Engineer supporting the Thermal High Altitude Area Defense Localization program you will:

- Work closely with engineers, manufacturing and technical management and will be providing the integration, design and technical solutions including payload structures, thermal products and integration of mechanical, propulsion, electrical and RF components

- Independently develops and provides mechanical design solutions, of varying complexity, using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.

- Provides frequent interaction and collaboration with program leadership, analysts, peers, suppliers, and manufacturing, to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.

- Drives to completion of program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.

- Manage TDP Export to KSA in support of Production including redactions and SIP change control

- Perform USML Export Classification of THAAD Production hardware; including tactical hardware, tools, & test equipment.

- Perform initial technical support of Production Liaison in support of MEs and KSA Production; including reach back to SSC CPEs

Basic Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals such as structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis

- Experience of mechanical design and/or manufacturing experience

- Familiar with mechanical hardware manufacturing processes

- Experience with CAD modeling and drafting, with CREO or equivalent

- Previous experience as an interface or representative to external customers/partners

- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary product development teams and to supervise small design team to produce technical data package

- Able to read and understand drawings per ASME Y14.100
Desired Skills:
- 9 years minimum of structural design, fabrication, and/or testing experience.

- Experience with CREO and TDP management

- Experience with releasing drawings in EPDM

- Familiarity with Industry Standard specification (NAS, MIL, MS, etc.)

- Familiarity with G,D&T

- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) experience

- Previous experience with proposal, new business, or capture process

- Familiarity with the THAAD weapon system, capabilities, and CONOPS and/or similar Missile systems

- Project/Program management training or experience on IDIQ or other contracts
