We are in the market for an experienced sales person with excellent credentials to round out a small sales team focused on indirect and direct customers. For the right individual this will be an excellent opportunity to work for one of the worlds largest energy companies and be able to make a direct impact to the companys future growth targets by selling to medium and large commercial/industrial customers through indirect and direct sales channels.

The ideal candidate needs to be able to quickly get engaged and focused on achieving assigned sales objectives by utilizing their product and market knowledge and sales skills.

The position reports to the Director of Sales which manages a small team focused on selling complex products through assigned brokers/channel partners as well as direct sales. Complex products include retail electricity, energy efficiency products, demand response, and renewables.

The primary objective for this role is to manage the sale of electricity, HVAC, lighting, renewable energy, and other energy related services across multiple markets with minimal supervision, while developing strong strategic business relationships with brokers and customers. This position can be based anywhere in Texas and will require overnight travel.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for managing a designated territory and identifying and developing opportunities to sell energy products and services to large commercial, industrial, national and public sector customer segments. Employees in this role manage the on-going business relationship with assigned customer base by maintaining regular contact, promoting incremental products and services, resolving customer issues and renewing expiring contracts; implementation of new plans and managing existing accounts to ensure retention and growth targets are achieved.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Identifies, prospects and develops qualified opportunities in targeted markets and/or customer segments
Develops, maintains and manages a sales pipeline in support of assigned business goals and objectives
Creates sales plans and strategies for prospective customers including understanding and analyzing prospect operations, objectives and risk tolerances
Educates customers on their energy options
Prepares and delivers presentations
Negotiates and closes energy supply agreements
Develops and maintains customer relationships
Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad / GED
Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
Experience:4+ years
