Candidate will be a key member of a finance team responsible for completing financial reporting, analysis and projection projects and a selection of experience studies. In the role the candidate must master Prophet and be able to perform valuation and projection projects, with all related control and audit processes being completed. In the financial reporting and analysis work, the candidate will take Prophet results, in combination with other data and analyze and communicate the emerging financial results in a structured manner. In the experience studies work the candidate will assist in performing selected experience studies. The candidate will interact with various members of the finance community at large within the company and with our external auditors. Position requires strong actuarial and technical skills, the ability to meet deadlines and set priorities, combined with good communication skills to make sure all requests are understood, processed and delivered on time and according to spec. Working independently is a must. Some project meeting coverage will be required as well.
Key responsibilities include:

* Produce accurate and timely valuations every month
* Analyze the emerging policy and claim experience, identifying the key drivers of variances from plan and communicate these variances and underlying business drivers to management
* Produce accurate and timely projection model runs as needed. Complete all necessary audit and control activities related to these responsibilitie
* Assist in the annual update of assumptions, implementing and auditing the implementation of assumptions into Prophet
* Identify enchancements to Prophet functionality, work with the PCOE to implement these enhancement
* Develop a deep knowledge of GAAP, Statutory and tax reporting requirements
* Perform selected experience studies as needed
* Participate in the large scale department projects like First Principles, Project Homeward Bound
* On an ongoing basis continue to improve and automate all related processes
