Department Overview

Performs budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations. Reviews capital expenditures and analyzes sales-related expenses associated with such things as the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment. Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets. Evaluates pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives. Effectively incorporates client delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations. Maintains and enhances sales force automation systems, product/service costing models, and margin management tools/systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses. May develop sales quote tools.

Position Description

The Sales Operations business partner provides holistic support to the Field Sales organization and partners with the Sales leader in the areas of performance management, analytics, and transformation. This person will be a trusted advisor to the Sales leader and will provide consultative advice and guidance to enhance operational processes and drive revenue growth.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

* Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing detailed project plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations.
* Assist Sales leaders with pipeline and opportunity inspection
* Develop, maintain and monitor operational dashboards specific to sales pipeline activity/progress
* Develop familiarity with various data sources (CRM, Sales compensation, ERP, etc.) to run any analysis needed
* Perform data analysis to support decision making in areas such as organizational design, pipeline performance, sales rep performance, account analytics and overarching revenue analytics
* Work with Sales teams and Finance to ensure forecast accuracy
* Oversee the annual Budget planning process for Sales leader that includes territory planning, target setting and quota allocation
* Drive adoption of tools and dashboards to promote consistent visibility and delivery of the business plan
* Support Sales leader in the compilation of information for Quarterly Business Reviews and other executive presentations
* Monitor, track and report on KPIs and specific activities that align with predefined success criteria for the sales organization
* Minimum travel is required for this role (less than 10%)

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

* Strong sales operations, planning, and analysis experience a must
* Experience with Salesforce Lightning, CPQ and Forecasting processes preferred
* Strong understanding of sales processes, business acumen, and methodologies
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
* A demonstrated passion for data and business intelligence
* Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail, experience using reporting and analytics applications preferred
* Proven track record of effectively interfacing with cross-functional departments and sales management team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
* Advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint
* Experience with Googles G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is a plus
* Self-starter, able to establish own priorities, initiatives and drive to closure
* Works well under pressure of heavy workload and time constraints
* Bachelors Degree in business or finance
