Responsibilities:
* Evaluate business processes and data from transactional systems to derive understanding of the information needs, insights, data quality issues and dependencies across the ecosystem; ability to work with large, disparate data sets and utilize analysis skills to trend and interpret information and turn them into compelling business proposals.
* Develop and manage reporting and algorithms that generate actionable insights and programs to give visibility to program performance and improve compliance. Research and develop solutions for improving profits for Microsoft and returning value to the audience, advertisers and publishers Specific responsibilities include the following:
* Work with key business stakeholders to understand the underlying business needs and formulate the needs into discrete, manageable problems with well-defined measurable objectives and outcomes.
* Identify and apply the appropriate methods/tools to efficiently collect, clean, and prepare massive volumes of data for analysis.
* Transform formulated problems into implementations plans for experiments by defining success metrics, applying/creating the appropriate methods, algorithms, and tools, as well as delivering statistically valid and reliable results.
* Develop new predictive and prescriptive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques with a goal of productionizing solutions.
* Influence stakeholders to make product/service improvements that yield customer/business value by effectively making compelling cases through storytelling, visualizations, and other influencing tools
* Identify and analyze the applicability and scalability of innovative data science methods, algorithms, and tools from within Microsoft and from the scientific literature to create/test solutions that deliver value to customer and business.
* Automate ad-hoc reporting and analysis performed by Microsoft Incentives Operations into stable, repeatable, and performance-ready reports, metrics, and dashboards.
* Understand end-to-end scenarios and ensuring solutions are compliant, cost effective and delight our customers and partners.
* Build an expert-level knowledge of our underlying data streams to spot anomalies and synthesize data appropriately for translation into business meaning.
* Align engineering efforts to the goals of Microsoft Incentives Operations to become a data driven organization.
* Partner across Microsoft to leverage MS Business Analytic partnerships.
* Deliver business requirements with business analysts, SME's, IT partners, solution managers, and end-users to drive and document needs including business use and scenarios as well as non-functional requirements.
* Collaborate with data modelers, data analysts and business partners to design data models that represent the information needs of the business and ensure alignment to the intended business requirements.
* Develop relationships with BI SME's, business leads, delivery partners, end-users that facilitates a we-team culture for shared business outcomes.
* Collaborates effectively across the ecosystem to manage dependencies, change and mitigations that may impact the BI assets.
Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of demonstrated Program and/or Project Management experience
* Demonstrated experience doing business analysis and requirement gathering,
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Strong experience using Data analytics and Data Management. Proficient BI reporting including both Excel and Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5+ years of relevant work experience in audit, compliance, finance, investigations, or operations
Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Ability to design custom Power BI dashboards reporting
* Have strong understanding of Microsoft's business, product, and technical strategies, and proven cross-group project leadership and management skills.
* Demonstrated experience managing data science projects including: problem definition, solution formulation, model building, productionizing and delivering measurable impact.
* Big data modeling and analysis, Simulation Risk Analysis, Machine Learning, SQL and/or T-SQL, and Big Data
* Have general knowledge of partner incentives and/or fraud detection in corporate datasets.
* Proven program management and project management experience.
* Strong written/oral communication skills required along with desire and ability to communicate with business leaders through all levels of the organization.
* Conflict/negotiation management experience and ability to influence without authority.
* High energy individual with a can do attitude.
* Strong end to end thinking with process orientation; ability to develop enterprise-wide solutions.
