Microsoft 365 is critical to Microsoft's cloud strategy and it is experiencing tremendous growth. The Microsoft 365 Core Platform team is the key team behind the success of Microsoft 365 and we have built a highly scalable and fault resilient system (the Substrate) that is the backbone of Microsoft 365 services. The engineers on the team work on broad set of technical challenges in the areas of storage, high availability, identity, service fabric, developer ecosystem, big data intelligence, engineering systems, security, and application onboarding experiences, etc.

We are the Substrate Data Plane Team. This team builds the infrastructure for developers to leverage the massive amount of data that is stored in the Substrate. In this role, you will help build out more scalable ways to access data and schedule work in the Substrate If that sounds interesting to you, come join us!

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field
* 5 Years of design and development of server/service applications in at least one of C/C/C++/Java.

Helpful experience and traits:

* Experience in highly scalable cloud services
* Experience with large code bases and distributed computing
* An interest in designing, building, and debugging high available massively scalable systems
