Our Cloud + Artificial Intelligence (C+AI) Human Resources team provides world class HR partnership to over 43,000 Microsoft employees, manager, and leaders across the globe who are leading the way to enable Microsoft's Cloud-First/Mobile-First strategy, and to transform both the industry and the future of enterprise computing.
At the heart of the 100 person HR team is the HR enablement team, comprised of business management professionals. Our purpose is to be experts in navigating the matrix, and to think and operate on behalf of the entire team to mobilize the system towards activating our People Plan with a OneEngineering and OneHR mindset.
We are looking for a Business Manager to support a subset of our HR team and partner with the rest of the business managers to create cohesion across the HR Rhythm of the Business, drive progress against the People Priorities, and have a focus on Diversity and Inclusion activation.
You are passionate about influencing and impacting high growth and dynamic businesses and are effective at leveraging project mgmt skills and working as a part of a team to influence stakeholders. You want to be an active and engaged member of the HR Enablement team driving an effective ROB and activating and consulting on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
Our Collective Team's remit is to:
* Activate C+AI People Priorities: Provide scalable processes and rhythms enabling business impact. Monitor progress and champion prioritization and data driven results.
* D&I Activation: Establish priorities and provide leadership and stewardship to ensure progress to goals. Engage with HR and business to balance amplifying corporate initiatives while connecting threads to business defined priorities.
* Empower and Engage HR Community: Create and manage ongoing HR engagement as trusted advisors to generate energy and deliver success. Be the eyes, ears and connectors to individuals and teams.
* Strengthen HR Team effectiveness. Connect the team to the right info and knowledge at the right time in the most optimal way. Monitor, raise and address team needs.
* Maximize partnerships with key stakeholders and partners: Have an owner mindset in all topics for increased business and HR impact.
This role is the extension of the HR Chief of Staff and key enabler to ensure left to right alignment and connective tissue spanning the C+AI HR team. The role will focus approximately 50% time providing scaled business management and D&I activation to a specific subset of the business/HR team and approximately 50% will focus on work spanning horizontally across the full organization. Specific duties include:
* RoB support: Value add support to ROB; manage an established rhythm of business (ROB), including all-hands, staff meetings, business reporting, etc. to help the business run smoothly and effectively
* Review trends with the team and suggest linkages in partnership with the rest of the business management team in service to driving progress against the People Priorities
* Understand program partner roles and help land initiatives with the HR and business teams including readiness, and communications.
* Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with the HR leadership team on sensitive business and organizational issues, lean into ambiguity, and work as a part of a team to implement solutions to challenging problems.
* Support Diversity and Inclusion activation for assigned business groups in partnership with the HR Business Partners:
* Understand the system of individuals focused on D&I-related work and how they fit together
* Leverage data insights and suggestions from the team to embed D&I initiatives within broader talent strategy for select C+AI organizations
* Support D&I-related expectations for HR leaders and HRBPs within client groups; and champion C+AI and MSFT-wide D&I initiatives for use in client organizations
* Contribute to planning and participate in D&I initiative reviews, and related talent RoB items with HR team leader
* Provide partnership for business D&I PM and champion effective relationships with the full D&I ecosystem
* Advocate for client groups in various D&I forums
* Manage and drive special projects, as needed

* Power-user of Teams and PowerPoint and familiarity with Power BI (Business Insights) a plus.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years of progressive experience in a fast paced HR practices or project/program management focused role
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organization development, psychology, or related field
* 3+ years of experience managing large-scale or complex projects/programs
