Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (CHIE) is looking for a Principal SW Program Manager to be a part of a fast paced and exciting business of Azure. Our CHIE Cloud Hardware Experience Engineering Team is looking for a strong, experienced, data oriented and hands-on Program Manager to driveSoftware infrastructure development for our organization. This is a great opportunity to be part of the most exciting and innovative teams within Microsoft.

* We are looking for a highly motivated Principal SW Program Manager with a track record in driving Software initiative and strategy for an organization. Being a technical and experienced PM, you will help us define and develop tactical and strategic solutions to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our services that form a critical part of Azure infrastructure. You will be our liaison to external partners (Silicon Vendors, ODM, OEM, etc.), communicate Microsoft Azure requirements to our external partners as well ascoordinate collaborative efforts with various internal Azure Engineering teams. You should have excellent communication skills to drive programs with multiple internal/external partners teams located in different geographical regions worldwide.
* As a seasoned program manager, you must have a strong desire, passion, and ability to understand customer needs and a willingness to develop holistic and data-driven approaches to product solutions that delight and exceed their expectations.u202F You should also have a good understanding of hardware, firmware, diagnostics, telemetry, HW/SW quality, and an unyielding passion for creating products that customers will fall in love with.

Required Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience as a technical Program Manager or in a technical role with systems experience
* Experience in management of complex cross-group, cross-business, cross-disciplinary projects
* Ability to deal with ambiguity, resolve conflicts, prioritize multiple strategic and tactical options and drive issues to closure without compromising on quality.
* Proven ability to synthesize and communicate solutions to complex technical problems.
* BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/EE or equivalent experience

Bonus qualifications:

* Project experience working across hardware and low-level (driver, firmware, kernel mode) software stacks.
* Experience with HW debugging/testing strategy and telemetry requirements specification.
* Data center HW/SW project experience from inception to go live.
