Senior Software Engineer

The Cloud-Powered Windows Devices (CWD) team builds innovative user experiences with mobile information workers and EDU opportunities in mind. The innovation, incubation, and exploration projects our team leads drive practical improvements across the Windows OS.

Whether you are relatively new in shipping a large-scale software system or a seasoned software engineer we have a role for you. Whether you love building user interface or, full stack feature development, we are interested in talking to you.

Responsibilities

* Orchestrate and deliver experiences that ensure Windows is a great user experience for our customers.
* Work in close partnership with a team of diverse and talented software engineers, program managers and teams across the organization
* Form cross-team partnerships to design and implement features that span multiple teams.
* End-to-end ownership of product health, including monitoring in market health and addressing customer feedback.
* Empathizing with customer requirements and building well-crafted, highly refined user experiences with a customer-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience designing, building, and shipping software at scale using C/C++.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Excellent problem solving, design, coding and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong collaborator and great contributor to team culture.
* Proven ability to plan and execute engineering activities and maintain accountability to schedule and quality.
* Familiarity with building UI using XAML is a plus.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
