Azure is a rapidly growing and evolving cloud platform. Azure Core is responsible for building the foundation and the core of this cloud platform on top of commodity datacenter hardware and delivering an infrastructure for hosting customer applications and data. The Azure Capacity Infrastructure Services (CIS) team is responsible for providing and evolving a platform and micro-services to automate capacity provisioning/de-provisioning functions in order to meet increasing and changing capacity demands in a consistent, efficient and secure way.

The Azure Compute Efficiency team is looking for motivated engineers who are in search of an exciting environment working with innovative and revolutionary technology. The hardware validation platform is being used to automate the validation and delivery of all hardware for Microsoft across Azure, Office and Edge Computing products within Microsoft. The team is looking for developers interested in developing technology to model, validate and manage the hardware throughout the lifecycle (bolts to dust) and want the chance to contribute to the fastest growing cloud platform on the market.

The goal is to evolve the platform to meet the ever-growing needs of the Cloud and drive automation to the DC operations to improve reliability, reduce COGS, and deliver scale. We are investing in the development, and application of technology to grow the capacity for all of Microsoft services and are at the forefront of new hardware platforms coming to the cloud. The effort involves interpreting designs into fully functional software, developing and supporting the software, and contributing technical expertise throughout design stages and development.

We are looking for self-motivated developers who care our customers deeply. If you enjoy solving challenging problems, writing quality code with all edge cases covered, we may have great opportunities for you. Previous experiences in designing and implementing large scale distributed and highly available services would be a huge plus. You will be responsible for working with partner teams to evolve and enhance current systems to improve capacity provisioning efficiency by doing things as early as possible and having a unified mechanism for all cloud environments.
