The Microsoft Azure CXP Engineering team is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering.

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Services Hub data engineering and analytics platform. This manager will be the lead for specific software engineering functions as well as manage one or more scrum teams. The group is chartered with full architecture and engineering development of the Services Hub platform including its online portal, underlying Azure microservices, the content authoring service, the AI machine learning engine for customer recommendations, the data architecture and BI, and the AI Bot for customer interaction. This role will work closely with our Engineering PM team and relevant stakeholders in developing and managing extensible analytics and insights for Services Hub customers.

As the Software Engineering Manager, your duties include:

Product and Service Design - Builds the right products and services to deliver value to the customer and to meet business objectives. Makes decisions deeply rooted in customer insights (data-driven) and in understanding overall business goals.

Technical Design and Implementation - Develops high-quality code to meet technical requirements, such as scale, global delivery, and implementation across distributed systems, monitoring, serviceability, testability, debugging and maintenance.

Quality Code and Validation - Creates and validates efficient, stable, secure, maintainable, scalable, performant, well-tested, and reusable code that enables customer and business goals for the product or service. Ensures that quality is maintained throughout the entire life of the product or service.

Engineering Lifecycle - Uses, defines, and improves coding and testing practices, processes, tools, infrastructure, and standards that produce the expected product or service outcomes for Microsoft and the customer with increasing efficiency.

Effective Team - Acts constructively within the team context to increase the efficiency, impact, and morale of the team. Works proactively across team, product, service or platform boundaries to share information and technology, and ensure that peer-team goals are aligned.

Product and Service Ownership - Consistently and strongly demonstrates a sense of personal accountability for the quality and completeness of the entire product or service and resulting user experience. Maintains a sense of pride and craftsmanship that yields output with aesthetic, as well as technical value in the product that we ship.u202F

Required Qualifications

2+ years of people management of software engineers

5+ years full stack development experience

Desired Qualifications:

1+ years of people management of software engineers

Leadership experience on an engineering team growing and guiding developers

4+ years of experience with the .NET framework (C, ASP.NET, XML)

2+ years of experience with UI technologies (WPF or CSS/JS, etc.)

1+ years of designing and shipping modern web applications

2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL Azure

Creative and self-motivated developer with excellent coding, design and communication skills

A BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred
