The Azure Data Platform Business Planning team is responsible for defining and executing business models, monetization, and adoption strategy. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team to own pricing strategy and business model execution for some Azure services in the portfolio which includes databases, analytics and storage. Lead and evolve the overarching monetization strategy for an assigned group of services from the Azure AI and Analytics product lines. Develop business model strategy, product pricing/packaging by applying sound marketing principles in segmentation and product positioning. Drive market intelligence analyses to formulate strategic vision and inform business case. Provide thought leadership in identifying emerging trends and potential areas of growth. Identify pricing and licensing optimization opportunities by interacting closely with partners, sellers, and customers. Create business model proposals, present them to senior Leadership and drive cross-functional alignment. Collaborate with pricing operations to implement business models and pricing. Ensure prices are available in an accurate and timely fashion by working in collaboration with pricing support teams. Rollout business models and monetization strategy to Microsoft field and partners.
Aptitude and the passion for both business strategy formulation and program execution. u202FA strong track record of working across diverse stakeholders to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence. Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and be able to synthesize data from multiple sources to drive data-driven decisions. Exceptional business judgement leveraging strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and operational excellence.u202F Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects. Fantastic collaboration skills, driving and influencing cross-functional teams. Great attention to detail and passion for tactical execution. Understanding of software pricing, packaging, and licensing required. Understanding of cloud technologies. A minimum of five years of experience in business planning, pricing strategy, product management, business strategy, business development, or equivalent roles. MBA preferred.
