As the Security Coordinator at Micron Technology, Inc you will be responsible for the administration of Microns electronic security systems (CCTV and Access control). In addition, you will be responsible for the development of training for the security systems monitored by in-house/contract Security. You will take directives from the Security Site Supervisor to assist with the coordination of the contract physical security staff.

The position ensures security procedures and practices align with established Micron Business proficiencies and established regulatory agencies. Other responsibilities include maintaining awareness of new trends, legal requirements, or other developments in the field of security system integration for improved security operations on site.

Duties:

The Security Coordinator, with Security Site Supervisor approval, in appropriate instances may perform all listed duties and/or may be requested to perform additional duties to meet demands presented by business change.

Operational Functions

* Provides staff assistance to the Security Leadership; performs special assignments, tasks and projects as assigned; prepares and presents reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary.
* Coordinates, monitors, and maintains the Micron access control system as identified by Security Leadership.
* Coordinates, maintains and updates badge management system / database and ensures confidentiality as required by Micron policy.
* Develops and maintains security systems standards consistent with Micron Policy and identified regulatory agencies.
* Responsible for training documentation/modules and updating TRAIN database as needed to ensure personnel (in-house/contract) maintain and retain appropriate certification(s) or qualifications.

Performance

* Evaluates plans and coordinates employee training development on security systems; works with Security Leadership to solve deficiencies; implements corrective actions, and reports deviations.
* Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive situations, employee inquiries and complaints, keeping Security Leadership well informed.
* Provide a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment
* Maintain adherence to security operational policies and report deviations to Security Management. Communicate access requirements to applicable team members and contractors, were applicable.
* Lead all aspects of mandatory training for contact security staff.
* Identify and report potential safety, security, and labor issues to Micron Security Leadership.

Assist Delivery of Security Services

* Coordinates, maintains and supports security systems as required by procedure or the Security Leadership.
* Ensures any and all licensing regulations are functional and within regulatory guidelines.
* Tasked with and prepares a variety of analytical and statistical reports and correspondence to support security operations and events
* Updates security training documents and supports oversight of contract security as designated by the Security Leadership.
