Role Value Proposition:
The National Accounts Sales Support team works directly with National Accounts Account Executives (AEs) who are responsible for selling and retaining group insurance products and services for the 5,000+ employee life market segment. Primarily focused on pre & post-sale activities such as requests for proposals (RFPs), broker interactions, marketing presentations and sales tracking, the Sales Support team aids the AEs in most strategically leveraging their skills and time. With the AE, and by prioritizing and developing strategies and solutions to meet the needs of this market space, National Accounts will meet and exceed its growth targets and customer goals.
This role will provide administrative support to the Sales Support Team and Account Executives by assisting in prospect activity; participation strategies; and successful RFP and finalist presentation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support AEs in all pre-sale activities including underwriting submissions, RFP submissions, creating generic proposals, obtaining qualified references and assistance with finalist presentations.
* Support AE in post-sale activities including notice of sale, broker contract and commission issues, renewals, comp reporting.
* Responsible for sales reporting including Salesforce.com entries and entering information around account planning.
* AE Meeting preparation such as developing agendas, printing and combining presentations, pulling appropriate collateral materials.
* Researching prospect companies and pulling data on customers and brokers.
* Ability to maintain knowledge and understanding of assigned AEs books of business to represent the AE with brokers and internal partners.
* Work with internal business partners to implement sales growth and awareness strategies as well as employee marketing communication plans.
* Manage Account Executive Account Plans, Opportunities and Activities in Salesforce.com, ensuring data integrity for Customer Unit and Senior Leadership reporting.
* Partner with service teams to aid in customer presentations (annual and on-going), renewals and implement marketing and growth strategies (1st and 2nd sale).
* Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
* 2-3+ years of relevant business experience
* Ability to develop strong understanding of group insurance products and sales process
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems easily
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to make recommendations
* Competent presentation skills
* Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently in order to meet deadlines
* Self-motivated to learn more about group benefits and proactive in personal development
Preferred:
* Bachelors degree is preferred; Advanced/Graduate degree is a plus
