Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation.

Position Description:

The primary activities include and are not limited to the following:

* Provide Engineering support to the our Research & Development Division North America Portfolio (Kenilworth, Rahway, Boston Area, South San Francisco and Palo Alto.)

* Develop and maintain the site engineering basis information, such as, building occupancy rates, infrastructure data, depreciation, building condition and building cost data.

* Support the development of Site Master Plan in data collection, and team coordination with our Research & Development Division , our Manufacturing Division, and Site Utilities.

* Support the management of the Site Capital and Expense Project Portfolio by consulting execution teams, business owners, finance, and management.

* Manage the Long-Range Operating Plan.

* Leads the planning and directs the execution of complex engineering and site improvement studies.

* Provide technical expertise in the investigation of complex technical problems, and develops innovative solutions using current and new technologies or approaches.

Strategic Planning:

* Responsibilities include understanding and coordination for Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) Facilities Management for our Research & Development Division North American Operations including capital/expense planning and spend, strategic initiative resource planning, master planning process, and departmental budget constraints.

* Demonstrates leadership by maintaining a safe workplace, identification of preventable safety incidents, and maintains a 5S work area and support of the organizations Safe by Choice Program to drive Target Zero.

* Our Research & Development Division North American Master Planning: Development , implementation and management of working Master Plan Concept for organizing site facilities (Facility requirements by division/site; Facility Capabilities ; Site Constraints/Limitations; Municipal, County, State & Federal Constraints; etc.); develop concepts for wayfaring/circulation (material, personnel, vehicular, product, etc.); identify design guidelines for future site development ; develop concepts for site infrastructure support; Greening of the Site

* Regional Office Master Plan: Identify, engage and implement our Company's Space concepts and opportunities; analyze worker profiles to support and enhance strategic initiatives (Operation Cost Savings; Space Reduction; etc.)

* Capital/Expense Planning & Management: understand yearly capital/expense planning process; acts as liaison to the project execution teams ( Global Engineering Solutions (GES), Integrated facilities Management (IFM), Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) of approved projects; ensures activities/initiatives align with current capital/expense allocations and leverage diverse supplier opportunities

Project Management:

* Serve as the key client for Global Workplace and Enterprise Services and Integrated facilities Management, Package Data Set.

* Manage Contractor Safety program.

* Manage the site Asset Ledger including planning for depreciation.

Customer Interface:

* Responsibilities include management of relationships with key clients/customers, developing and sustaining alignment with customers/senior leadership, and working with Global Engineering Solutions (GES), our Research & Development Division , our Manufacturing Division, Human Health, representatives to develop and support strategic initiatives (Cross Divisional Leadership Team, Master Planning, Space Management, Capital Planning, Profit Planning, Global Workplace and Enterprise Services Program Management, etc.).

* Interface also includes being the liaison with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Project Delivery Services; Capital Team Leader for Key projects; interactions with Global Engineering Solutions Low Segment Projects group; overall site logistics for projects.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

* Undergraduate degree

Required Experience and Skills:

* 7 + years of engineering/facilities work experience

* Computer skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and operation of other peripheral devices

* Understanding of finance and cash flow with respect to corporate purchasing: SAP experience processing: Purchase Orders and Payment Requests; Vendor Add Forms, as well as the capability to run reports within SAP

* Documented experience as a strong performer in current and past positions

* Ability to handle and prioritize many simultaneous assignments

* Program management skills with an understanding of strategic vision and significant attention to detail

* Outstanding communication and people skills

* Ability to both think critically as well as communicate effectively with a global audience

* Experience with financial and budget tasks

* Technical problem-solving abilities.

* Business ownership and personal accountability

* Builds teamwork and partnerships

* Portfolio Management Experience and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and activities across multiple sites

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* Must demonstrate excellent collaboration skills and enthusiasm for customer service.

* Experience in dealing with agencies and management of professionals outside of our Company required.

* Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt Green Belt certification or equal experience in application.

* Professional designations including Professional Engineering License, Product Master Plans (PMP), and Change Management preferred.

* Knowledge and experience in management of our Company projects and facilities.

* Understanding of and experience with our Company's capital and profit planning processes is required.
