Inside Sales Rep
The Allflex Territory Sales Managers interact face to face with our customers, understand their goals and consult to offer the right solutions. We work collaboratively with Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.
This is a sales position within the Sales team for the Allflex Livestock Intelligence Monitoring business, focusing on Monitoring products. Candidate will be responsible for contacting customers via the telephone to establish ongoing sales relationships to promote, position, and sell the Monitoring line of products. The Inside Sales Rep will be accountable for developing and maintaining account relationships and managing growth for assigned accounts. The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for contacting decision makers to discuss customer goals and offer solutions in line with our companys products to drive sales. Performance is measured on sales goal achievement vs. goal, as well as targeted promotions and other performance standards consistent with operating objectives.
In this role you will learn about and contribute to our Company's Monitoring business as a member of the North American Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to start a successful career in technology Animal Health sales and grow internally. Top preforming and successful Inside Sales Representatives may be offered growth opportunities to transition to US field-based sales roles in the future which will likely require relocation to where the business and growth is needed.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Communicate about products in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each individual customer; customizes discussions and interactions based on understanding of customer's goals.
* Primary point of contact for some assigned customers, meets with key personnel/decision makers to understand enterprise structure, business model, key influencers, customer needs and identifies business opportunities.
* Develop territory and specific account plans for all assigned customers. Partner with N.A. sales team to maintain strong focus on accounts to drive sales growth.
* Work collaboratively across all species teams to foster our Company's approach to enhance knowledge of the entire product portfolio.
* Shares with other team members within the region to foster growth and development within the team.
* Analyze sales results on a monthly basis and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
* Identifies and selects programs/services available within the company to address customer needs and provide education & training opportunities to accounts.
* Works with leadership and additional field teams to develop and deliver relevant offerings that address desired customer needs.
* Develop current understanding of our Company's Animal Health and division products, industry trends and competitor landscape, business model, key influencers/ network structure and make information available to relevant stakeholders and to influence sales trends.
* Articulates and communicates relevant customer, industry, product, and market trends appropriately through the organization.
* Responsible for developing and meeting learning and development objectives agreed upon with leadership.
How will you contribute:
* Identify, build, and maintain long-term, sustainable relationships with customers, external stakeholders and key influencers through a variety of relationship-building approaches
* Apply understanding of the company's portfolio of products and services to create an optimal plan in matching individual offerings to customer needs and interests.
* Understand multiple interdependencies within an account, consider customer goals and needs, maximize account performance and provide value-based offerings by building long-term relationships through collaborative business planning processes.
* Build trust with customers and demonstrate value in selling situations to deliver high-quality engagements or interactions that deliver products/solutions.
* Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and goals, as well as market dynamics, competitor analysis and trends to improve overall business outcomes.
* Segment & target customers effectively, allocate promotional resources, and drive execution of commercial plans.
* Develop and maintain account relationships and manage account sales growth for assigned stakeholders through contacting accounts to discuss product needs, increase product occupancy, expand market penetration and acquire sales.
Education Minimum Requirement:
* 4-year college degree with a production animal focus or equivalent preferred with two years applicable experience OR in lieu of degree five years of applicable experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
* Successful candidate must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to a changing environment
Preferred Experience and Skills:
* Experience selling animal products and services is preferred.
* Knowledge of the dairy industry and dairy farm practices is a plus.
* Able to quickly build trust and rapport with customers.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Documented sales experience.
* Ability to relocate for promotional opportunities.
