We are seeking a Business Analyst, Sales Operations to join our team in our Richmond, VA or Jacksonville, FL location.
Position Description
Responsible for business analysis, configuration, and testing of Varicent SPM system. Also responsible for supporting cross-functional team that provides governance of SPM platform.
Key Responsibilities
Varicent analysis, configuration and quality assurance
* Support the development and ongoing management of the Varicent platform
* Align with compensation and finance to ensure alignment of processes and quality data automation on the Varicent platform
* Take on analysis required to scenario plan and provide leaders with recommendations on actionable outcomes to help achieve Sales goals
* Establish SOPs that tie out quota with Sales and territory data for timely annual planning
* Work with business leaders to plan and optimize their territories
* Responsible for quality of system configuration and data; Must establish quality assurance measures
Requirement gathering & implementation support
* Gathers requirements for any business changes that are needed for the BU and coordinate those changes with sales, finance and compensation to finalize requirements
* Takes finalized requirements and works with IT, consulting agency, or vendor as appropriate to implement required changes
* Handles change management process for changes including process documentation and training support to impacted end users
* Participates in any necessary Agile cadence such as Scrum standup meetings, backlog grooming sessions, review and retrospective meetings
Data science
* Works with other analysts to identify opportunities that exist in territory management
* Pro-actively leads efforts to continuously review territories for optimization. Will need to establish best practices for review and set up a regular cadence with leaders to continuously review and optimize
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills
* 6+ years of experience in finance or territory analytics
* 5+ years financial or statistical models
* 2+ years experience with Varicent or other sales performance management, incentive comp management, or goal setting tool
Additional skills
* Ability to use strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to a wide diversity of people, including technical, business, and leadership teams
* Strong technical analytics skills needed
* Strong business acumen needed
* Strong experience with Excel and other modeling tools
* Experience developing statistical models including regression analysis
* Experience with visualization reporting tools including Power BI or Tableau
* Experience with process development and documentation
* Gathering and analyzing aggregate and objective feedback related to product development
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving
Education
4-year degree or equivalent experience
Travel
Up to 15% travel required
