11am/1pm-12am shift (11-12 hour shift)

Monday-Fridays

Rotational Weekends Required

Essential Functions

* Assist Operations Manager with planning, organizing, directing warehouse activities and hiring to ensure successful night shift operations.
* Keep morale and work standards high
* Prepare and conduct team meetings, training sessions and other events to communicate clear goals to your team.
* Assist with leading associates and team leads to maintain safety, accountability, work standards, employee performance, training and development; all while keeping positive morale within the shift.
* Perform quarterly safety observations as well as 30/60/90-day safety orientations with new hire employees.
* Supervise the day to day operations of the department ensuring that customer expectations and performance metrics are met or exceeded.
* Perform necessary labor-management audits on both current and new hire employees to track and ensure standards are being met.
* Control employee turnover and overtime hours
* Seek continuous improvement opportunities to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
* Ensure warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards.
* Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state and local company policies.

Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year degree preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of Warehouse experience including 2 years of supervisory experience

Critical Requirements

* Experience managing, leading and developing staff
* Computer proficiency in MS Office
* Excellent and effective business communication skills both verbally and in writing
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions
* Demonstrated employee engagement skills
* Must be open to flexible hours; Schedule ranges: 10:30a - Midnight Monday - Friday
* Kronos Experience Required

Additional Knowledge and Skills

* 4 year degree preferred
* Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
* Skilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline and record-keeping
* SAP experience preferred
* Forklift experience preferred

Education:

* High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

* High energy distribution center environment
* May be required to work various shifts, including nights and days
* Some overtime required
