JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:

* Prepare and tints paint and performs a quality check prior to release

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Retrieve paint bases from warehouses and select formulas from computer or formula book.
* Provide print color name by using computer.
* Dispense colorant into can.
* Check for color accuracy after mixing the paint in the shaker for three minutes or longer.
* Maintain completed products on pallet and use rider jack to transport materials.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:

* Some experience involving production operations or the use of basic equipment is required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:

* Ability to select proper bases and formulas to mix and tint paints
* Ability to operate paint dispensers, tint machine and mixer
* Ability to lift and stack processed paints on mixing trays and storage pallets
* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
* Ability to read and follow work orders
* Ability to maintain work area

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to operate rider jack
