Performs various ultrasound procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice of a ultrasound technologist.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Associates degree Required or Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.

Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.

Minimum Education
Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.

Required Skills
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Registry: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer R.D.M.S. in:
Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), OB (OB), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Must be registered in at least one of the above modalities at time of hire, but tech still needs to complete and be registered in all modalities. As time limit varies per modality, time frame for completion will be determined by Director,

Minimum Work Experience
Two years work experience in hospital setting (clinical rotation is not applicable) in sonography or radiology.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
