Job Description

Role Value Proposition:

Develops and issues group policy contracts and amendments in order to achieve all regulatory compliance for international insurance products marketed by MetLife Worldwide Benefits Business. Also consults with actuarial, legal, sales, marketing, underwriting, claims and administrative staff to identify product specifications and issue requirements in connection with product development, product updates and changes in insurance laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plays a supporting role within the Worldwide Benefits UW & Contracts Department, providing support in implementing new business and renewal contract issuance.
* Primary responsibility is for issuance of policies to new expatriate clients and amendments to contracts with existing clients.
* Learns aspects of generating group contract documents and maintains adequate file documentation according to procedures.
* Process, cancel and update all related items as necessary in non-renewal of contracts.
* Researching and responding to Underwriter questions.
* May participate in the analysis of product plan designs and provisions to ensure contract accuracy.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

* 1-2+ years of professional experience
* Broad knowledge of the regulatory landscape
* Demonstrated experience conducting and effectively summarizing research
* Must have ability to work cross-functionally with peers and leaders from various lines of business as well as external agencies
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office software skills Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to effectively analyze and synthesize complex information
* Experience navigating a matrixed business environment

Preferred:

* Bachelors degree strongly preferred
* J.D. a plus
* Exposure to group benefits products and/or public sector/regulatory stakeholders a plus
