Job Summary
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for selling and promoting the best fasteners and stud welding equipment on the market. This position will service current accounts along with developing new potential customers. This position will be responsible for customers and prospects in the Construction, Industrial, and Specialty markets in Northern California. Our ideal candidate will be outgoing, personable, and a strong communicator who will not be afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done!

The position functions as a technical adviser for equipment sales and setup, field training, process improvement, and equipment repair and maintenance. This position will report to the Regional Sales Director based at our Tinley Park, IL distribution center. The Field Sales Representative must live in a location that can fully support the sales territory.

Up to 30% overnight travel may be required.

Job Description Summary
Responsible for selling and promoting company's products to accounts and prospects within an assigned territory via personal selling. Functions as a technical advisor for process recommendations and equipment repair/maintenance within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

* Develop and establish goals and standards of performance for assigned territory in collaboration
* Achieve determined sales forecasts, objectives and goals in assigned territory.
* Develop and maintain current customer and prospect records for assigned territory.
* Develop and update effective sales presentations to satisfy varied application needs to customers and prospects.
* Know in detail and use effectively the features and benefits of the company's products and services.
* Effectively demonstrate the product and process to customers and prospects.
* Develop and implement closing techniques that are effective in the sale of the company's products and services.
* Resolve any and all problems with assigned accounts.
* Analyze, control and administer product pricing in line with the Regional Manager's recommendations.
* Communicate technical information between customers and internal technical/engineering resources
* Recommend and communicate to product managers new application information for evaluation of possible sales programs.
* Operate assigned territory within budget guidelines.
* Complies with established company policies and procedures.

Requirements

* Associates degree and/or trade school education, bachelors degree in Business/Engineering is preferred
* 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the Construction and/or Industrial Sales Market
* Proven field sales experience and relationship building skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Windows OS
