MF0820: Manufacturing Supervisor 2nd shift

Position Responsibilities:

* This position will report to the Manufacturing Manager but will interact with all required functions necessary to provide the shop floor with resources required to meet goals in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
* Full Safety Responsibility including:
* Promote Behavioral Based Safety throughout plant
* Weekly employee engagement meetings/toolbox
* Monthly Safety Trainings/Investigations
* Complete Safety Incident Reporting
* Supports continuous improvement philosophy driving lean manufacturing principles.
* 6S projects, SMED events, Kaizen
* Responsible for manning requirements, training and talent development, goal attainment, and continuous improvement within these areas.
* Maintain time and attendance tracking.
* Quality Responsibilities:
* Perform daily layered audits.
* Quality investigations 8D and 4 Block
* Leadership and guidance for Quality Auditors
* Tool distribution.
* Assist operations with scheduling, printing, and distribution of work orders.
* Interface with other foreman to ensure efficient operations between shifts.
* All related supervisory duties as required.

Skills and Abilities:

* Minimum of three years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Cold Heading experience is preferred.
* 2-year technical degree or higher preferred.
* Demonstrated leadership ability, organizational skills, decision making, and drive shift excellence.
* Proficient with PC usage (Microsoft office) and popular business software. Specific experience with JD Edwards, SharePoint, and/or Lighthouse is preferred.
* Trained in the use of Lean Manufacturing tools, 6S, and Kaizen events.
* EH&S experience, compliance, and training.
* Experience in planning and scheduling daily production requirements.
* Must be able to work overtime if needed
* Other duties as assigned.
