Job Description
$17.50-$19.25 per hour
PRIMARY DUTIES:
* Perform proper set-up & adjustments to B line stations.
* Inspect & test products using measuring instruments such as: concentricity checks, SPC monitoring, calipers, micrometer, & angle gauges
* Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and upkeep on equipment, machinery, tooling and work area
* Prepare and maintain any material required in processing each operation
* Properly follow all instructions and procedures related to each specific operation
* Maintain proper flow of product to ensure high customer service fill rates
* Properly fill out all documentation, label all packages, skids, racks or containers
* Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product and ensure all product meets specifications
* Input & analyze SPC & quality data; sign off where appropriate, indicating quality assurance
* Conforms to ISO 9001
* Complete O.I.R. (Operator Inspection Report) indicating quality assurance, and communicate progress to incoming operator at shift change
* Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates
* Notify supervisor, maintenance, or quality immediately when a problem occurs with any part of your job, equipment, or product
* Follow all company policies and procedures
* Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other operations and training new associates
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED preferred; AA degree or equivalent from college or technical school preferred
* 6 months related experience and/or training/education in machining
* Solid shop math skills and ability to work with fractional (imperial) and metric systems; ability to convert inches into metrics.
* Proficient in reading & interpreting prints, including engineering specifications
* Proven capability in the use of precision measuring instruments as listed above
* Basic mechanical ability and knowledge of machine interactions preferred
* Knowledge of SPC and basic computer skills such as data entry, & Excel spreadsheet input
* Proven ability to work safely
* Positive attitude and drive to meet and exceed expectations
* Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
* Excellent attendance record with flexibility to work overtime
