About the role:

This person in this role will assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. This position requires an extensive knowledge base and a high degree of independence.

Your responsibilities include:

* Test method development, equipment development and location moves, manage equipment qualifications and laboratory management.
* Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
* Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
* Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
* Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
* Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
* Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
* Act as a resource to other employees.
* Communicate project status to project teams.

What were looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

* Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3+ years R&D technical support or related experience.
* Demonstrated ability to setup / conduct product testing and collect data to medical device standards.
* Operate and maintain complex test equipment
* Ability to work in a team environment interacting with engineers and technicians
* Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Design control/change request experience
* Ability to own engineering experimentation (designing, executing, reporting)
* Test methods development and training experience
