Job Description

This position will support the regulatory, compliance, product, and operations projects for Annuity, 529, and Life Insurance. Advisor/Client Experience process mapping, Release Oversight, KYC Common Module/Client Onboarding, Fixed Annuity Rate Management, sales partner relationship management, internal process improvement identification to execution, etc. The projects facilitated by this position are to support the Annuity, 529, and Life Insurance LOBs customer facing positions including Financial Advisors, Annuity, 529, and Life Insurance Advisor Service Center, and Operations.

Organize and lead multiple projects or single projects of great complexity. Projects may involve participation from and have impact on multiple functions in assigned line(s) of business. Project work typically has significant impact on the corporation/Line of Business (LOB). This role continuously provides leadership and guidance to other project managers and business analysts in the team including training, escalation management, resource management, quality control or other project support and review.

This role will be part of a team that drives structure and discipline around each initiative using standard project deliverables and framework, including establishing scope. Additionally, you will resolve resource/scheduling conflicts, escalate and ensure issues/decisions are resolved, manage changes to project scope, document requirements and testing status, create and manage implementation plans, lead/participate in meetings at the operational and project level. You will serve as the overall escalation point to your individual contacts and ensure all projects track as expected.

Description:

Advisor/Client experience strategic state process mapping and presentation

Single point of contact for sales partner relationships

Provide leadership and coaching to other project managers and business analysts in the group; conduct project reviews, resource analysis, status tracking and reporting, escalation support, training, etc.

Create implementation deployment plans and validation activities at time of deployment to production.

Expert level ability to manage and lead projects related to new carrier onboarding, new products, product maintenance, regulatory changes, risk/controls, process and technology enhancements, and other initiatives related to annuity, insurance, offshore investment contracts, and 529 plans operations. Includes all aspects of project management: scope, requirements, testing and implementation, change control process. Ensure defect-free implementation.

Responsible for creation and development of project plans, coordinating project status calls, delivery of periodic project status, including tracking all tasks to completion and escalation and resolution of issues or risks to the project delivery.

Coordinate fixed annuity rate change process including communication, platform changes and intranet changes, and quality control

Coordinate completion of project/change overview or training/reference documents shared with operations, annuity service center and other areas

Requires constant communication with senior leadership

Coordinate updates to forms, procedures, reference or training materials

Provide support for system access administration, business continuity testing, monthly release UAT Testing

May require evening and/or weekend hours

May require occasional travel for project related meetings, new carrier onboarding, carrier due diligence meetings, etc.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a demonstrated leader with a proactive, hands-on approach and strong operational skills:

4+ years of relevant project management experience

2-3 years of experience using Agile methodologies

Ability to drive long term systemic change using an iterative approach

Excellent understanding of the investment process and associated market practices with the ability to think strategically about how to create business led solutions

Product knowledge of Investment management product offerings e.g., Annuities, 529 Plans, and Life Insurance Products

Proven ability and experience in implementing large strategic initiatives with significant technology and operational component

Strong sense of prioritization & ability to execute against deliverables. Able to take personal accountability for projects & issue resolution

Extensive experience driving process change and efficiencies in a growing business strong focus on execution and delivery against objectives

Analytic problem solver with excellent written and verbal communications skills

Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with the business, operations, technology & other key stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix organization

Be able to lead, motivate and get the very best out of a high performing team of operations professionals

Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from an operations perspective

Strong time management skills

Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent assignments

Experience using specialized software systems such as JIRA, Signavio, Optic and/or test automation suites
