Come and join us. Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Platform Group (DPG) as a Software Development Engineer. Barefoot Networks (BXD) is part of the Ethernet Networking Division in Intel's DPG, and we're looking for motivated, passionate and talented senior software engineers to join our Advanced Applications development team. BXD is a strong, vibrant cross-site team which helps drive Intel's Ethernet technology and products to position Intel x86 as the server platform of choice and Intel Ethernet products as Ethernet of choice for the Cloud, Communications and Data Center deployments.

In this role, you will need to be passionate about our customers and enthusiastic about our industry leading Deep Insight Network, Telemetry Analytics Platform. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable in developing and deploying distributed applications on a Kubernetes infrastructure. You will need skills to select infrastructure components, direct the team in services architecture and maintain the reliability of the overall application. You will have an excellent opportunity to shape the future of the scale-out and deployment capabilities of our analytics application.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Design, develop and maintain our cloud native application including the Kubernetes infrastructure
- Monitor and update component version and adopt new technologies and techniques in Kubernetes ecosystem
- Support the team in best practices for new service design and development
- Contribute to the quality of the overall product by developing testing and upgrade processes in our system

- Experience designing, building and deploying Kubernetes applications.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of industry work experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of industry work experience

1+ years of experience in Kubernetes platform architecture

3 + years of experience of Software development in cloud native applications

3+ years of experience with C/C++ or Golang

2+ years of experience working with distributed applications or frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, Druid.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience and working knowledge of Networking protocols

2+ years of experience building large scale, real-time distributed analytics system

1+ years of experience in building applications with JavaScript
