Technology Development (TD) Analytics and Automation, a new and growing part of the technology development body of Intel Corporation, is inviting candidates to apply for employment as a Technology Development Data Scientist. The successful candidate will join a team of statisticians and data scientists in Hillsboro, OR. The team provides analytics leadership and support to engineers and managers who research and develop semiconductor processes for Intels next generation chips.

TD statisticians work in a dynamic environment and are responsible for a wide range of predictive analytics and statistical applications including modeling, statistical consulting, teaching machine learning and statistics courses, data science, process control methods, and developing and implementing methods for specialized applications.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Candidate must possess a Masters or PhD degree in a STEM field (majoring in Statistics or Data Science is highly desirable) with a background in Statistics or Data Science.

* Minimum of 1 year of programming experience using Python or R.

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in statistical methods, predictive analytics, and programming

Preferred qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months of experience in:

* Spatial statistics

* Data visualization for high dimensional data

* Distributed modeling
