The Atom Processor Team develops high performance, power efficient processors that go into a wide variety of Intel products. Join our team as a Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer, where you will be integral part of Verifying the Atom CPUs for next gen Intel products. It's a perfect opportunity to grow career in multiple aspects of pre-silicon validation by collaborating with highly experienced architects, designers, and our large team of experience CPU validation engineers.

The responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate's skills and expertise and will include several of the following, but not be limited to:

* Ensuring the logic design meets the architectural specifications
* Creating and optimizing the validation environment, tools, and methodologies
* Developing or using checking software to compare model behavior against a specification
* Generating focused and random test cases, analyzing coverage, and debugging failure cases
* Writing software to provide controllability and observability into the model
* Analyzing micro-architectural features to identify possible problem areas

* Skilled at working effectively with both internal and external teams/customers is expected

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience with: - OR - a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience with:

* Validation of ASIC's or IP blocks or SOC's
* Computer architecture, especially cache subsystems, and coherency
* Pre-Si validation/debug
* Writing system verilog test benches and test bench components
* Object oriented programming background; excellent SW writing skills
* Programming in C++, Perl and Assembly Algorithms and digital logic
* A range of internal and 3rd-party logic and design verification tools
