About the Business Group: The Global Supply Chain organization contracts and sources tens of billions of dollars on behalf of Intel Corporation. The scope of the organization covers a wide-range of goods and services from direct materials and equipment, to construction, software, consulting, health care benefits, travel, logistics and so much more. The organizations key goals are: 1) ensuring uninterrupted supply to our customers, 2) delivering product and manufacturing affordability through the best total cost and 3) enabling products and the supply ecosystem to deliver non-linear value to the corporation

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the leadership team that collaborates with the BUs and our Foundry supplier(s) to deliver supply chain sourcing for Intel's External Manufacturing. The group is responsible to manage the outsourcing of silicon foundry, OSAT, boards, systems and components businesses. The group partners with external ecosystem and internal divisions to develop souring and supply chain solutions to enable Intel's products. This position will report to VP of External Supplier Management in the Global External Manufacturing group. This position is responsible to manage foundry supply chain sourcing plan and supply chain management to meet Intel's technology, product, and cost roadmap. The responsibilities will include the following:

Sourcing strategy and execution: Proactively partner with business units (BU) and BU Account Team to deliver external manufacturing supply chain solutions aligned with multi-generational product roadmaps. This includes identifying and shaping the sourcing strategies, engaging in the supplier evaluation for new opportunities, contracting the supply chain solutions, and ultimately driving the supplier to deliver the product to meet/beat the BUs requirements

Supply assurance: Proactively manage capacity and business continuity for every product for the short term (quarterly) and long range planning (LRP) horizon to ensure uninterrupted supply. This includes balancing capacity, inventory, and supply chain flexibility, including multi-geo sourcing to enable business continuity (BCP). Negotiate and manage the capacity reservation at supplier according to Intel's demand and flexibility requirements. Manage alignment of demand forecast to expected delivery timeline with timely communication and escalation.

Supplier Management: Build deep expertise in the BU supply chain sources and business relationship with the supplier executives. Deliver portfolio of options for BU sourcing needs to maximize aggregated influence and supply chain health. Effectively influence and manage Intel's supply chain deliverables through the supplier executives. Orchestrating internal stakeholder alignment (executive level and down) to ensure alignment between supplier strategic plan and Intel's technology and affordability roadmap requirements. This position requires extensive international and domestic travel (approximately 25 percent).

Product differentiation: Deliver supplier lead differentiation by identifying, contracting and managing the supplier to deliver competitive advantage in partnership with the BUs and the suppliers.

Operational management: Establish and conduct effective and efficient business engagement model with the BUs to proactively shape, communicate and execute deliverables. Develop effective operations and indicators to track business deliverables and metrics to ensure the organization is tracking to its goals. Develop and deliver high level messaging and presentations for a variety of forums and audiences including top Intel executives and internal BU executive meetings. Drive supplier continuous improvement plan in alignment with Best in class benchmarks.

Market Sensing: Ability to anticipate and plan for transformative moves to drive growth stay apprised of the business environment, industry and technology trends, and the competitive landscape. Provide insight into implications for Intel's businesses and recommend actions to proactively strengthen Intel's supply chain strategies and supplier engagement model to strengthen business outcomes.

Commercial negotiations and contracting: Assess new business opportunities with the supplier based on Intel roadmap. Drive commercial negotiation with supplier to ensure best sourcing for Intel. Manage disciplined process of documenting contracts through Intel business practices. Ownership of the contractual framework with supplier and its compliance to Intel's legal and business requirements (including IP protection). Meet regulatory requirement through contracting and through management oversight (example export license for engineering and production).

Develop deep Supplier knowledge: Know the supplier, their culture, vision/mission, market positioning, financial positioning, R&D trend and technology roadmap synergies, executive body strength and expertise, maintain solid relationship with C-level executives and two levels down (including BU General Managers), structural cost understanding, manufacturing operations and supply chain understanding internal dynamics (example business processes, decision forums, approvals). Having a pulse on the supplier performance at Intel and knowing when to personally engage, and whom to engage at the supplier, to deliver results.

Leadership: Proven leadership capabilities in a multi-cultural and cross-functional team environment. Coach and grow Intel's account team resources. Set the vision and direction for all of the commodity managers and technical program managers on the account team. Be able to influence across organizations.
Situational Leadership: Should be able to handle tough challenges while internally or externally engaging executives or key stakeholders.

Agility: Should be able to adapt and swiftly respond to changes in the business environment. Assertive and self-driven, with good interpersonal communication, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Independent and highly self-motivated.
Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend the competitive supply landscape, technical integration trends, strategic threats and opportunities for the supplier and how the supplier can compete in and benefit from key business and growth segments. Semiconductor Industry Knowledge: Grasp of the competitive supply landscape, technical integration trends, strategic threats and opportunities for the supplier and the segments in which they compete. Foundry supplier knowledge and experience in business aspects (SWOT, culture, vision/mission, financial positioning, market position, technology roadmap, executive body strength and expertise, negotiation tactics).
Advanced contracting: Extensive experience in contracting, collaboration/investments, and acquisitions will be preferred.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, with business acumen/experience, MBA preferred.
10+ years of Supplier account management experience.
5+ years in working in fabless environment, with external manufacturing or foundry suppliers.
