The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. To expand the technology that provides us with advantages in programmable solutions, we are looking for a phenomenal intern to join our high-powered team.

Custom Fabric Engineering (CFE) group is part of Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is responsible for architecture and design of Intel's FPGA products. These products have wide variety uses covering industrial automation, space exploration, data centers, automotive, and internet routers to name a few. This person would be part of a highly successful and visible role of building the key hardware components of the FPGA. This person will be a working member of the Integrated Circuit (IC) design and implementation team in the US.

This intern position will be involved in System on Chip (SOC) design activities such as Design for Test and functional validation.

The selected candidate will be partnered with a senior member of the team and get trained in the SOC design and verification areas, will also be exposed to the various design flows and tools that Intel used in our next generation FPGA chips.

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelors degree with three years related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a Bachelors degree and less than three years experience.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 3+ months experience in:

* Verilog and/or VDHL.

* Unix and/or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Scripting Languages (Perl, TCL and/or Python).
