Be part of Platform Architecture Integration and Validation team within the Data Platform Group. In this role you'll own system level validation activities ensuring quality of the product. The focus of this role is to understand the entire scope of firmware on the platform and spot problems before they are released.

The scope of your role will include:

* Owning validation and correlate data into customers reports.

* Run and capture data generated by specific algorithms.

* Leading validation efforts to ensure quality at platform level.

* Planning, developing and executing validation tasks, such as defining test plans, review requirements coverage, drive test execution, drive debug and taskforces of issues resolution.

* Know execution status and be the voice of the team to represent issues found in lab at the corresponding forums.

* Engaging with various internal cross-team validation organizations.

* Debug platform level issues and provide guidance on resolution.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

* B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

* An internship and/or 1+ years in x86 systems experience (e.g. board design, BIOS, UEFI, SW Dev, etc.)

* Experience with firmware development and deployment.

* Debug experience

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years in System/Platform Validation experience

* Experience in Power and Performance characteristics a plus

* Experience working across geographies and organizational boundaries a plus

* Experience with x86 architecture
