Intels Data Platform Group (DPG) business is entering an exciting new phase with transformative market penetration in data center, 5G wireless, and autonomous driving. As a result of this, there are exciting opportunities in developing and validating superior quality IP, Sub System, or custom ASIC products with cutting edge technology in a scalable manner. We are looking for Senior Software Development Engineer to join our growing team! As a Senior Software Developer, you will work with cross-functional, cross-geo teams to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable software solutions for pre and post silicon validation across different platforms. This development role will provide ample opportunities for broad technical influence across organizations, making huge impact on the business bottom line and hence personal growth. Responsibilities might include:

* Develop a single, highly scalable test infrastructure shared between the Silicon Validation team and the Firmware team for Hardware concurrency and Firmware testing on Virtual Platforms, FPGA prototyping, and emulation platforms

* Develop API and low-level drivers for interrupt, internode DMA, virtualization, and concurrency testing.

* Develop Python scripts for register access, Python framework and libraries for test content development, and Python custom API to interface with low level drivers

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

* 8+ years of total experience, experience must be inclusive of

* 5+ years of experience in software development working directly with hardware (e.g. HW validation, embedded software development and validation, etc.)

* 5+ years of experience in functional and object-oriented programming.

* 6+ years of experience with Linux development

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience with advanced techniques in C++ (design patterns, boost, STL)

* 3+ years of experience with design and implementation of large-scale parallel systems preferred (e.g. MapReduce frameworks, parallel databases, etc.)

* 4+ years of experience with systems software for Linux OS preferred
