Platform Validation Engineering (PVE) within Custom Logic Engineering (CLE) group is looking for an Electrical Validation Eng for its products (FPGAs, SASICs and ASICs) with focus on High Speed Transceivers.

* Conducts and participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing, validation, and utilization of IO and mixed signal architectures inclusive of industry standard datacom applications, and custom Intel interfaces.

* Understanding of DFT and DFM to collaborate with architecture, design, and pre-silicon validation teams to ensure capability to validate and test IO architecture implementations.

* Understands validation specifications, evaluates IP, and generates test reports.

* Ensures products conform to standards and specifications.

* Develops procedures, analysis, and designs for validation, validation infrastructure, and systems margin validation.

* Analyzes internal and external customer returns with emphasis on improving yields and driving test escape closure.

* Knowledge and background in associated IO validation test equipment.

* Applies and uses independent evaluation to select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, performance, and reliability.

* Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

* 2+ years of experience in semiconductor IO development, testing, validation, and utilization of IO and mixed signal architectures inclusive of industry standard datacom applications

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with High Speed I/O (e.g. SERDES, ethernet, memory, PCIe, Signal Integrity)

* Experience with end2end electrical validation strategy for a given product at silicon, component, and/or platform (system) level.
