The Atom CPU development team is looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join the Atom CPU design automation (DA/CAD) team. The candidate for this position will engage with the project design teams to develop and support various CAD tools and flows for various design and performance verification for next generation design methodology and automation needs

Responsibilities include:

* Develop and apply computer aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems
* Assess architecture and hardware limitations, plan technical projects in the design and development of CAD software
* Define and select new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters
* Develop routines and utility programs
* Prepare design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval
* Specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of experience with: - OR - a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience with:

* VLSI design, computer architecture, VLSI Design Automation, Data structures and Algorithms
* Scripting skills using Perl/Tcl

Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship or 6+ months experience related to design automation tools
