About the role

The graphic designer is responsible for concepting and presenting creative execution on a per project basis to the creative team leads. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can inspire through visuals. Candidates should possess a sophisticated style, flexibility, and a compelling portfolio.

What you'll do

* Develop excellent work consistent with the Gap look and feel.

* Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, easy to use and emotionally engaging.

* Work with internal teams to keep them fully informed of product development and execution.

* Create and develop a visual response to communication problems including identifying the problem, researching, analysis, solution generating, prototyping, user testing and outcome evaluation.

* Ability to be flexible, nimble and dynamic in practice.

* Create presentations that address diverse users/audiences and business/organizational operations.

* Shape design decisions in response to creative leadership feedback.

* Research creative trends in competitive markets and apply that knowledge and learning to development of new marketing and packaging projects.

Who you are

* 5+ years of design experience

* Strong communication skills - particularly proven track record in managing through influence.

* Strong organizational skills.

* Fundamental understanding of design and branding best practices

* Strong conceptual abilities, sophisticated sense of color with a high attention to detail.

* Works well under pressure and deadline.

* Exhibits an understanding of and passion for fashion and retail, with a strong style sensibility.

* Results-driven.

* Highly detail oriented, with uncompromising standards.

* Current and evolving sense of design.

* Knowledge of marketing materials and processes.

* Expert knowledge of design-related software.

* Good interpersonal, management, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
