GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Managing Director, Administration and Operations is a senior leader within Fifth Third Wealth Advisors. This position will report to Fifth Third Wealth Advisors President and liaison with Fifth Third Bank partners (HR, Finance, IT, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, EWS, etc.) to lead operational excellence within the firm. The Managing Director leads strategic initiatives, project management and process optimization. The Managing Director fosters strong partnerships and collaboration to strategically position the businesses to maximize and maintain profitability and growth. The Managing Director drives positive change to lead, develop and execute on business objectives and distinguished client service.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concern, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within Fifth Third Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist the president in day to day business oversight of the firm
* Oversee strategic initiatives related to advisor and client onboarding
* Liaison between front office and back office
* Expert on processes, policies to address opportunities and solve escalated issues
* Direct leadership responsibility for project management and process optimization. Ensures that the firm delivers on service level agreements.
* Directly accountable for providing technical leadership and driving integration initiatives to achieve measurable productivity results that translate to financial benefits and positive employee and client experience.
* Identifies cross functional collaboration opportunities to continuously improve the firms financial performance.
* May oversee critical vendor relationships.
* Develops, implements, maintains and continuously improves Fifth Third Advisors processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and ensures that they are consistent with Fifth Third Bank's internal control frameworks while supporting a distinguished client experience.
* Provides technical leadership and has a deep understanding and specific knowledge of the firms business and processes, while also having a broader understanding of the industry.
* Builds and maintains effective and cooperative relationships with internal customers/stakeholders, external clients, and vendors. Supports and ensures effective change management processes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for fostering a culture of employee engagement and inclusion, providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback, developing employees to their fullest potential, providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth, developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning, and recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree is required (prefer a degree in Business, Management or Finance).
* 10+ years of management experience with superior change leadership skills.
* 10+ years of increasing responsibility in investment management, banking and/or support services functions.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with strong ability to influence and inspire.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, people, and diplomacy skills.
* Innovative thinker who challenges the status quo and drives change throughout the organization, including ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and remove barriers to achieve preferred outcomes.
* Leadership skills including initiative, strategic vision, detail orientation, strong analytical and decision-making skills.
* Ability to establish self as a leader, to not only perform in a leadership role, but to also be recognized by business partners as a leader.
* Must be able to work in a team environment with ability to interact well, in a positive manner, with senior leaders.
* High degree of both internal and external customer service focus and ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
* High degree of organization and the ability to multi-task and to be flexible.
* PC proficient in Windows based software programs (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
* Project management experience.
* Knowledge of Wealth & Asset Management businesses and systems is preferred, along with familiarity of Wealth & Asset Mgmt policies and procedures, strategies, controls, risk/compliance, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
* Extended viewing of CRT screen.
