GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Marketing Accounting Associate assists in the day-to-day financial operations of the Fifth Third Marketing Department. Helps process, monitor and track all vendor payments and related activities. Serves as liason between the Marketing Department and internal payment departments. Works closely with the extended Marketing team and Marketing business partners.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Understand the Banks payment and contract processes
* Process all Marketing POs and invoices
* Communicate effectively with other marketing, sourcing, finance and AP personnel in order to execute on finance processing needs
* Track payments and research as needed
* Facilitate contract approvals
* Perform any other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. An equivalent combination of experience/education in a related field will be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Excellent ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Good PC skills. Sharepoint and InfoPath knowledge a plus.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good organizational and customer service skills.
