As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and team guidance on managing several projects and/or products to meet organizational goals. In this role, you will make decisions on requests for resources, and collaborate with management to define timing, scope, priorities, risks, and opportunities. You will coordinate with other teams to ensure support of the portfolios.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Portfolio Management - Lead Associate will enable Business & Technology Asset owners and support teams to identify, prioritize, plan, and execute change with transparency. The Lead Associate is responsible for managing SI/Maintenance budgets, understanding the business and technology priorities within their portfolio, lead/support the gathering and prioritization of product backlogs, and ensure that project initiatives align to the overall business/technology strategy.

The Lead will also operate with latitude while cross-functionally engaging project teams and stakeholders in order to advance projects for the portfolio. Identify and manage project interdependencies and the related execution issues/risks. Make recommendations and develop solutions on program management and planning to ensure proper planning and timely implementation of projects. Strong budgeting experience and analytical skills are required for financial management.

Position requires strong judgment and influencing, communication and negotiating skills. Candidate functions in a lead role by providing project planning, alignment, execution, governance, and guidance to the portfolio.

* Apply a strong bias for execution and the ability to translate strategy into action to manage and integrate platform activities across multiple initiatives.
* Coordinate with key internal and external partners, ensuring all parties are appropriately informed, engaged and driving desired results
* Develop and implement systematic approach to collecting and reporting on project or operation data. Review and analyze data collected by the team.
* Collaborate with management to define the objectives of projects or products.
* Monitor and report on the performance of product or project teams.
* Refine goals, guidelines, objectives, and timelines for teams as needed.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and support any portfolio communications
* Facilitate portfolio meetings with stakeholders and ensure consistent, transparent decision-making for portfolio
* Participate in business strategy discussions
* Manage intake process, facilitate impact analysis and prioritization, estimation of resources, cost, time, and risk of changes
* May Support the prioritization of product backlog and release roadmap through PI planning sessions
* Manage SI/maintenance budget and resource planning for portfolio, working within governance infrastructure
* Support our Partners by playing Project Manager or Scrum Master role whenever needed for smaller initiatives
* Drive escalations as needed
* Monitor portfolios project and initiative progress. Track progress against plan, work with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and implementation.
* Proactively identify and resolve time sensitive project risks, issues, interdependencies, and conflicts, both within and across business units and initiatives and coordinate implementation.
* Partner with FP&A to establish appropriate level of investment for projects and maintain the funding approval as needed.

Minimum Required Experiences

* 4 years project management skills and experience
* Strong knowledge and experience on Financial Management (budgeting/forecasting/variance analysis)
* Strong analytical skills for business process and technology assessment and opportunity
* Demonstrated ability to educate, coach, and inform stakeholders on complex business issues and competencies
* Strong influencing skills and the ability to proactively engage with audiences at all levels, including senior level executives, to identify insights, best practices, and business opportunity.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and customers.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products: PowerPoint, Excel, Project, SharePoint, Visio, E1

Desired Experiences

* Bachelor degree or equivalent
* 6 years project management skills and experience
* Product implementation consulting skills; business optimization consulting preferred
* Experience with Fannie Mae tools, services and applications
* Working knowledge of the primary and secondary markets
* Mortgage origination technology knowledge
* PMP Certification
* Agile Certification
