PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position will be a part of a focused group contributing to the companys Enterprise-wide technology evolution. You will be part of the team building the foundation for the continuous development and improving internal and external customer experience. This is an individual contributor role on a large customer transformation project supporting all Exelon utilities. You will be responsible for various aspects of designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining applications within the project.

This role is highly focused on various customer technology platforms, with a concentration on Oracles Customer Care and Billing Application. You will perform activities relating to planning, gathering common business requirements, designing, building, and maintaining high quality solutions, products and processes. Additional involvement around database practices and methodologies, learning technical architecture and hardware systems sizing, and contributing in a fast-paced team environment. You will be part of a customer facing IT team involved with implementing a large, multi-year project.

Ability to apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methods, processes and tools to support large multi-year projects that span across multiple Operating companies and modernization of various customer information systems. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and work closely with scrum masters, project managers, and business and technical project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Position will be involved in activities surrounding the CIS Transformation project directly implementing a complex upgrade of Oracles Customer Care and Billing application.

Investigate and troubleshoot application performance issues.

Perform application administration functions. These would include grant access, unlocking accounts and reviewing log files.

Provide system support for maintaining performance and reliability the CC&B environment.

Works under minimal supervision and performs routine and non-routine work.

Position may require working extended hours and/or shift work to support our project and meet assignment deliverables.

Foster a culture of innovation continuously looking for ways to find areas for improvement in process and quality.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

Undergraduate degree in information science, business, computer science or equivalent and typically 2 --5 plus years experience in IT or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

Demonstrates strong work ethic coupled with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Demonstrates strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.

Strong problem solving and analysis ability.

Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in Customer Information Systems.

Ability to work with remote project teams

Understanding of project management principles

Preferred:

Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Customer Information System application knowledge (Oracle CC&B a plus)

Familiarity with CC&B Framework

Experience working within an Agile methodology.

Batch program understanding, administration & troubleshooting

Knowledge of Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL)

Familiarity with enterprise toolsets such as Oracle databases, SQL Developer, FTP, Unix/Linux scripting and HP's PPM,
