Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

This position is in the Distribution Reliability group which provides support to the local networks to improve reliability to our customers. This is a new group with an expanding role within the organization including developing and monitoring a comprehensive reliability plan, using outage data to recommend improvement projects, and developing insights into program effectiveness.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and present analysis findings and recommendations to upper management, using data extracted from multiple sources.

Know/learn the multiple aspects of the business well enough to be able to understand performance results, conduct analysis to identify issues with performance or processes, and participate in the development of suggested actions / plans to improve results.

Utilize knowledge gained from previous electrical system or technical operations experience, along with business analytics and statistical tools to identify challenges and opportunities and develop innovative solutions and recommendations.

Stay abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy policy decision making.

Requires a high level of skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and to a lesser extent SPSS, Microsoft Access or other database, querying and reporting tools.

Desire experience with Cognos and POutage_Query system design changes, interfacing with upstream Information Systems (such as AMFM/DFM, CCS and CIS), and implementing new reports utilizing PowerBI, ESRI Mapping, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or SQL Server Management Studio.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with MS PowerBI and Entergy Distribution applications is preferred.
