Job Description

**This position may be located at any Entergy location in AR, TX, MS, or LA**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage and oversee Damage Prevention processes for Entergy Customer Service Jurisdictions (EAI, ETI, EMI, ELA, ENO). This includes operational processes covered by company and contract personnel. Manage interface with jurisdiction Customer Service Operations leadership to ensure safety, customer expectations, regulatory and legal compliance, and safety needs are met.
* Maintain a high level of safety practices within the System Damage Prevention Group including Entergy personnel and contract workers.
* Responsible for compliance and commitment to Entergy safety policies, practices and initiatives for all Entergy and contract Damage Prevention employees in Customer Service Jurisdictions (EAI, ETI, EMI, ELA, ENO).
* Manage, coordinate and oversee state and system level contracts with vendors/suppliers for Damage Prevention activities to achieve optimum results for operational and compliance excellence. This includes engagement with Supply Chain for contract activities, RFP, ceiling limit management, changes, etc.
* Manage and oversee locator response to all state dig law requirements including; receiving, disseminating, responding to in a timely manner, closing and sending out the appropriate response to excavators for all system one call tickets.
* Minimize risk to life, health and property resulting from damage to Entergys underground facilities. This includes monitoring and managing damages caused by excavation, locating and One Call operations. Determining the root cause of damages and implementing process changes so as to mitigate the problems. Engage Legal, Claims, Regulatory as needed.
* Manage locator relationships with excavators through frequent communications so as to avoid late tickets, customer complaints and damage to Entergy facilities
* Manage relationships with Entergys Customer Service groups across the system in order to provide excellent locating services to these groups and minimize line crew down time and damage to Entergy facilities.
* Manage spending of all costs in each of the four states (EAI, ETI, EMI, ELA, ENO) for Damage Prevention operations as well as related costs incurred by Entergys Customer Service and Claims groups.
* Participate in state One Call Board and Dig Law committee meetings to ensure the protection of Entergy underground facilities and the efficient use of Entergy resources. Engage Entergys legal and legislative groups to implement changes to laws or One Call practices if necessary.
* Achieve operational excellence by setting, communicating and achieving aggressive performance goals, identifying and implementing process improvements, establishing and maintaining a culture of safety, trust, integrity and respect with all customers, employees and contractors. Develop processes to identify best practices and implement these across the system.
* Report regularly to state Customer Service VP on performance status for operations, compliance, fiscal, contract and resource matters.

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelors degree preferred or work equivalent.

Minimum experience required of the position
3 years operational supervisory/management experience with a degree or 6 years operational supervisory and/or management experience without a degree.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Experience in managing/executing and understanding utility procedures, programs, and standards; Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Strong analysis and problem solving skills; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Self-starter, independent worker, self-motivator; Strong computer skills. Be available for call out at all times. Ability to work emergency or storm restoration. Work with external and internal customers.
