Job Summary/Purpose:

* This position is responsible for growing Entergys business by identifying leads, generating opportunities and working economic development projects that are considering locating in Entergys Southwest and Acadiana service territory.
* Grow revenue, increase shareholder value, and improve local Entergy Louisiana economies by identifying and managing new large commercial/industrial projects, matching those projects with suitable geographic sites, providing service and rate options to attract project investment within Entergy Louisianas service territory.
* Establish and maintain strong external relationships with business leaders to identify their needs, execute global recruiting/lead generation efforts, attract new qualified projects and grow revenues within Entergy Louisianas service area. This position works closely with state, regional and local agencies, local developers and internal organizations to promote and enhance Entergys competitive position.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

* Develop strong alliances with state agencies, local and regional economic development organizations to promote the Entergy service territory. Some activities associated with the development of strong alliances will take place outside of normal business hours.
* Perform project management activities to participate in and influence the site selection process maximizing Entergys competitive position for new and expanded business attraction.
* Work closely with business prospects and site consultants to market and promote Entergy served sites and locations.
* Gain a general knowledge of the electrical transmission, distribution, and substation assets to effectively communicate electrical service options including redundancy capabilities, reliability and new eTech programs.
* Coordinate and manage the electrical service responses to Request for Information from various sources. Coordinate with external organizations to analyze and prepare RFI reports/responses and submit to appropriate contacts as needed.
* Develop a strong working knowledge of, and be able to communicate, site selection decision drivers such as market trends, supply chain, financial pro-formas, logistics, infrastructure, engineering analysis, labor analysis, incentives etc.
* Develop an understanding of various key programs, incentives, individuals, sites, buildings, and territory assets to promote Louisianas strengths/advantages and attract new business.
* Work with Entergys economic development team to develop strategies designed to market regional and community development, enhance business retention and expansion programs and enhance electrical service options to maximize Entergys success.
* Work with state agencies, local and regional economic development organizations, and landowners to identify, develop, certify and market competitive sites in the assigned region.
* Build and maintain relationships with individuals and associations that can enhance Entergy Louisianas ability to develop prospects and new business opportunities, both national and international organizations as well. Enhance Entergy Louisianas ability to develop prospects and new business opportunities by building and maintaining long term relationships with target sector individuals and associations.
* Identify the specific business needs for each prospect and provide the support needed to create a business case that attracts prospect investment within Entergy Louisianas service territory.
* Influence location decisions and maximize growth opportunity by coordinating with internal and external contacts in providing timely and accurate responses to prospect requests, providing consistent follow up and leveraging Entergy executives as necessary.
* Supports the other team members and groups within the Business & Economic Development department.
* Produce various Presentations/Slides and Reporting. Provide and support other departmental Reports, Presentations, Analysis and special projects.
* Maintain Economic Development CRM project tracking and generate necessary reports.
* Produce other required reporting, tracking and more as needed.
* Identify, drive and track progress of annual goals and initiatives identified by team.
* Participate on various cross functional teams as needed.
* Support the annual Score Card/Incentive Goals.
* Coordination/Communications with other business groups.
* Storm Duty Team and Assignment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Management or equivalent (4 year degree required).

Minimum experience required of the position:

* 5+ years of professional experience in business and/or economic development, marketing, sales, project management, customer service, engineering or operations.
* Project Manager, Sr - 3-5 years experience in Operations Management or Project Management.

Desired:

* Possess a working knowledge of utility rates, regulatory issues, company policy, construction of new facilities and contract requirements.
* Knowledge of electric utility industry is beneficial, but not required.
* Knowledge of economic development and business processes. Demonstrated capacity to understand and interpret business models and cost drivers.
* Understanding of Entergys rate tariffs and service procedures.
