In this job, you will provide administrative support to the New Development Department which is responsible for the planning of new development construction and maintenance within Southern California Edisons (SCEs) Transmission and Distribution organization. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
* Directs internal and external customer correspondences to appropriate person/department (e.g. billing, logistics, offline support, etc.) including handling confidential and sensitive telephone calls, files, documents, and reports.
* Calendars meetings, schedules and coordinates meetings, conference calls, prepares agendas, and discussion materials.
* Generates and process research reports, meter order backlog, inactive lists, pending cancellations, and various other reports.
* Files electronic and paper documents, including processing invoices, contracts, supply orders, purchase requests, ledgers, and expense reports.
* Inputs/updates online Service Request using DM (Design Manager) (e.g. contact information, billing information, type of Service Request, time frames, project details).
* Receives and reviews customer payments and contracts for accuracy and completeness including updating customer orders online when receiving and processing money.
* Performs work order package breakdown into necessary post-planning packages, gather information for Planner field visit and design of project, and ensure completeness of work orders and/or resolve work order problems.
* Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The essentials
* Three or more years of experience performing thorough administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions.
The preferred
* Bachelors Degree.
* Processing purchase request, contracts, and invoices.
* Tracking, processing, and submitting supplies and/or repair/maintenance orders, including filing electronic and paper documents.
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Excel to create and edit reports, graphs, schedules, matrices and convert information from one format to another.
* Calendaring meetings, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and conference calls.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, including editing proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
* Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
