Become a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll be responsible for the development of secure architecture and design patterns for projects and systems in the information technology (IT) and operational (OT) environments. This position ensures the security of SCE systems and networks from cyberattacks by building in secure and repeatable designs. Youll be a senior technical subject matter expert who will work with and coordinate with systems and engineering architecture teams to validate and ensure cybersecurity controls are included throughout the software and system development lifecycle. Also, youll work across the Cybersecurity department to collaboratively identify, protect, detect, and mitigate cyber risk to SCE networks and systems. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
* Architect security solutions into information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) applications, systems, and networks.
* Lead projects and provide subject matter technical expertise to develop secure designs in collaboration with enterprise architects and project owners.
* Establish requirements for secure design patterns.
* Participate in cyber risk hunting activities will allow for proactive identification of existing risks and the development of novel approaches to improve SCEs system/enterprise architecture designs from a security standpoint.
Qualifications
The essentials
* Ten (10) years of combined experience of designing and implementing complex solutions in an enterprise network with specific experience in areas such as network security, industrial control system security, and cloud-based security.
* Experience in working with solutions architects to build in secure architecture.
* Experience with operational support for networks, systems, applications, and databases.
The preferred
* Twelve (12) years of experience in designing and implementing complex solutions in an enterprise network with experience in areas such as network security, industrial control system security, and cloud environments.
* Experience in penetration testing networks and web applications, and red team experience.
* Experience in utilizing cyber tools to perform cybersecurity controls assessments of IT/OT solutions.
* Familiar with security control frameworks such as: Critical Security Controls, OWASP, NIST Cyber Security Framework & NIST 800 series.
* Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python.
* Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), etc.

* This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. * US Citizenship is required as part of Critical Infrastructure security protocols.
